Wine Retailer

Wine Retailer, as defined by West Virginia statutes, a person including, but not limited to: grocery stores, certain private wine restaurants and certain private clubs licensed in accordance with W. Va. Code §60-8-3(i) and (k); farm wineries when licensed as a retailer, wine specialty shop, or multi-capacity licensee; or wine specialty shops, all licensed in accordance with W. Va. Code §§60-3, 60-3A or 60-8 by the Commissioner to sell wine at retail to the public for off-premises consumption.

The privileges, duties and responsibilities for the retail sale of wine is detailed in Legislative Rule CSR 175-4-5 and authorized by West Virginia Code §60.
